One of the original Danube-class runabouts assigned to Deep Space 9, lost during the T'Lani and Kellerun affair in 2370.
The USS Ganges was one of the Danube-class runabouts stationed at Deep Space 9 when Starfleet took over the station in 2369. Like its sister ships, it carried crews through the Bajoran wormhole and around the sector on short missions, and in Q-Less it brought Jadzia Dax and the archaeologist Vash back from the Gamma Quadrant.
The Ganges was lost in Armageddon Game, when Benjamin Sisko and Dax went to rescue Miles O'Brien and Julian Bashir from the T'Lani and Kellerun, who had tried to silence them. A T'Lani munitions cruiser destroyed the runabout as the crew made their escape.
