Starbase 375 was a major Starfleet base that served as a key command post during the Dominion War. After Deep Space Nine fell to the Dominion in 2373, Benjamin Sisko was assigned there under Admiral William Ross while continuing to command the Defiant.
The base was the staging point for many operations in the war's early phase, including Sisko's mission in a captured Jem'Hadar fighter to destroy a Dominion ketracel-white facility deep in Cardassian space.
In 2374 Sisko assembled the fleet at Starbase 375 that launched Operation Return, the campaign to retake Deep Space Nine. The fleet fought its way through a much larger Dominion and Cardassian force, and the station was retaken soon afterwards.
