The Norway-class was a Starfleet starship design of the late 24th century, with an angular, wedge-shaped saucer and nacelles mounted on short pylons beneath the hull. It was one of several newer designs introduced on screen during the Borg incursion of 2373.
Norway-class ships were part of the Starfleet fleet that met a Borg cube at the Battle of Sector 001. Many ships were lost before the Enterprise-E arrived and Picard directed the fleet to concentrate its fire on a weak point, destroying the cube. Unlike some of its contemporaries, the class did not become a regular sight in later battles.
