The IKS Rotarran was a Klingon Bird-of-Prey that served during the Dominion War under General Martok. Martok had been held in a Jem'Hadar prison camp while a changeling impersonated him, and after his escape he took command of the Rotarran, with Lieutenant Commander Worf as his first officer.
When Martok took over, the crew was demoralised after a string of defeats. During a mission to find the missing ship B'Moth, the tensions came to a head and Worf challenged Martok in combat, a move that pulled the crew together. The ship's victory against Jem'Hadar forces restored its fighting spirit, and Jadzia Dax also served aboard for a time.
The Rotarran went on to fight in many of the war's major actions, including Operation Return to retake Deep Space Nine. It became one of the best known Klingon ships of the Deep Space Nine era and a symbol of Martok's leadership.
