The Pagh was a Klingon Bird-of-Prey commanded by Captain Kargan. In A Matter of Honor, William Riker joined its crew as first officer under an officer exchange program, becoming the first Federation officer to serve aboard a Klingon vessel.
When a microorganism began eating into the Pagh's hull, Kargan decided the Enterprise was responsible and prepared to attack. Riker used an emergency transponder to have Kargan beamed off the ship, took command himself and forced the Enterprise to surrender in a bluff that preserved Klingon honour, while the Enterprise crew found a way to destroy the organisms.
