The Farm is a Starfleet medical facility for unusual conditions, feared by patients but revealed as a luxurious spa planet.
The Farm is where Starfleet sends personnel with unusual medical conditions. Its name and secrecy give it a sinister reputation among the patients transported there aboard the USS Osler.
In Much Ado About Boimler, Boimler is sent there after a transporter accident leaves him phasing in and out of reality, along with Tendi's genetically engineered dog. Fearing the worst, the other patients stage a mutiny, but on arrival they discover the Farm is a real, luxurious medical spa planet offering the best care. Boimler tries to stay, but he is sent back to the Cerritos once cured.
