A snowy planet where Moll and L'ak met the android Fred and where Rayner's reckless pursuit nearly buried a town.
Q'mau is the planet visited in Red Directive. Cleveland Booker leads Discovery and the USS Antares there in pursuit of the couriers Moll and L'ak, who meet the android Fred to learn what they have stolen from an ancient Romulan vessel before killing him.
During the chase, Antares captain Rayner accidentally triggers an avalanche that threatens a nearby town. Michael Burnham uses the shields of both ships to protect it, letting the couriers escape, and Rayner faces a disciplinary hearing over his conduct on Q'mau in Under the Twin Moons.
