Kolarus III is a dry, mostly barren planet near the Romulan Neutral Zone, inhabited by a hostile pre-warp people. The Enterprise detects a positronic signature on its surface.
In Star Trek: Nemesis, Picard, Worf and Data land on Kolarus III and find the scattered parts of B-4, an earlier android built by Data's creator. The locals attack, and the team escapes with the android in a ground vehicle. B-4 was placed there by Shinzon as a lure to bring Picard to him.
