The Denorios Belt is a band of charged plasma in the Bajoran star system. In Emissary, Jadzia Dax connects the strange readings coming from the belt to one of the Orbs of the Prophets, and she and Sisko take a runabout into it to investigate the phenomenon.
Their search uncovers the stable wormhole leading to the Gamma Quadrant, and Kira later moves Deep Space Nine to the wormhole's mouth to secure Bajor's claim to it. The belt remains a feature of the station's neighborhood afterward, and in If Wishes Were Horses unusual emissions inside it turn out to be connected to the visiting aliens behind the crew's imaginings.
