Uruguayan American actor who played Hugh, the Borg drone who gains individuality, on The Next Generation and Star Trek: Picard.
Jonathan Del Arco, a Uruguayan American actor born in 1966, played Hugh, an injured Borg drone rescued by the Enterprise-D crew in I, Borg. Hugh's growing friendship with Geordi La Forge and his emerging sense of self made him a pivotal figure in the franchise's portrayal of the Borg, and he returned in the two-part Descent.
Del Arco reprised Hugh in the first season of Star Trek: Picard. Outside Star Trek he is known as medical examiner Dr. Morales on The Closer and Major Crimes.
