A woman exiled to a remote ice age on Sarpeidon, who fell in love with Spock when he and McCoy were stranded in her time.
Zarabeth was banished thousands of years into Sarpeidon's past by a tyrant, using the atavachron time machine. When Spock and McCoy pass through the device, they arrive in her frozen time, and she gives them shelter in her cave.
Spock, reverting to the emotions of his ancient Vulcan ancestors, falls in love with Zarabeth. Because her body has been altered by the atavachron, she cannot return to the present and must remain behind when Spock and McCoy go home. She was played by Mariette Hartley.
