Wilson Granger was the Prime Minister of the Mariposa colony in Up the Long Ladder. The colony had been founded by just five survivors of the SS Mariposa's crash, and it had survived for generations by cloning. Granger and his people were facing replicative fading, as each new copy degraded further.
Granger asked the Enterprise crew for new DNA, and when they refused, the Mariposans secretly took samples from Riker and Pulaski to grow clones. Riker destroyed the clones. Pulaski then proposed that the Mariposans join with the Bringloidi colonists, and Granger reluctantly agreed. Jon de Vries played him.
