Cardassian scientist who traveled with Sisko on the Defiant to deploy a communications relay through the Bajoran wormhole.
Ulani Belor is a Cardassian scientist working on the subspace relay project in Destiny. She and her colleague Gilora arrive on Deep Space Nine ahead of a third scientist, Dejar, whom they greet coldly.
Ulani accompanies Sisko and Dejar on the Defiant through the wormhole to deploy the relay. A test signal draws a comet toward the wormhole, and after Dejar is exposed as a saboteur, Sisko and Kira guide its fragments safely through.
