The proud Romulan commander of the Khazara who resented the Tal Shiar officer forced upon her ship.
Commander Toreth commands the Romulan warbird Khazara. She deeply resents the Tal Shiar and is angered when the intelligence service's Major Rakal comes aboard and takes control of her mission.
In Face of the Enemy, Rakal is actually Deanna Troi in disguise. Toreth's suspicion grows as the Khazara heads for a Federation rendezvous, and she eventually confronts her first officer, N'Vek. Troi takes command and sees the defectors safely beamed to the Enterprise, leaving Toreth to learn the truth only when it is too late.
