Sunad was the Zalkonian commander who pursued John Doe and tried to stop his transformation into an energy being.
Sunad commanded a Zalkonian warship in Transfigurations. He tracked the injured man the Enterprise crew had named John Doe and demanded his return, saying he was a criminal from the planet Zalkon facing execution.
Picard refused to hand him over without knowing more. When told about John Doe's powers, Sunad used a device that made the crew unable to breathe and later boarded the ship to take him. John Doe completed his transformation, and before leaving he sent Sunad back to his ship. Charles Dennis played him.
