Doctor of the Trill Symbiosis Commission who was prepared to let Jadzia die to hide the truth about Joran Belar.
Doctor Renhol is a physician with the Trill Symbiosis Commission in Equilibrium. When Jadzia Dax suffers hallucinations, mood swings and neural shock, Sisko and Bashir bring her to Trill, where Renhol first stabilizes her and later plans to remove the Dax symbiont, an operation Jadzia would not survive.
Sisko and Bashir discover that Dax was once joined to Joran Belar, a murderer whose memories had been suppressed, and accuse Renhol of covering up a deeper secret. The secret is that far more Trill can be joined than the government admits, and Jadzia recovers once Joran's memories are restored to her.
