A citizen of Beta III who belongs to a secret resistance against Landru and shelters Kirk's landing party.
Reger lives in the city ruled by the computer Landru on Beta III, where most people are absorbed into a placid collective known as the Body. He is one of a hidden few who keep their own minds and await the return of the Archons, the visitors who disappeared a century earlier.
In The Return of the Archons, Reger takes in Kirk's landing party during the violent Festival and helps them evade the Lawgivers, Landru's enforcers. He leads them toward others in the underground and explains what he knows of Landru's rule. His daughter Tula is assaulted during the Festival. He was played by Harry Townes.
