Ramsey led the survivors of the freighter Odin on Angel One, where they had married local women and refused to leave.
Ramsey led a small group of men who survived the destruction of the freighter Odin and reached the planet Angel One seven years before the Enterprise arrived in Angel One. On a world ruled by women, the men's ideas about equality had made them fugitives in the eyes of the government.
Ramsey and his men had married and started families, and they refused the Enterprise's offer to take them home. Ramsey was romantically involved with Ariel, an aide to the leader Beata. When the men were captured and sentenced to death, Beata spared them by sending them into exile instead. Sam Hennings played him.
