An Enterprise historian who fell for Khan Noonien Singh, betrayed him to save Kirk, and then chose exile alongside him on Ceti Alpha V.
Marla McGivers is a lieutenant and historian aboard the Enterprise, fascinated by the bold figures of Earth's past. When the crew revives Khan Noonien Singh and his followers from the SS Botany Bay, she quickly falls under his spell and helps him seize the ship.
Unable to watch Kirk die in a decompression chamber, she frees him, allowing the crew to retake the Enterprise. Offered a court martial or exile, she chooses to go with Khan to Ceti Alpha V. In Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Khan reveals that his wife died after the planet's ecology collapsed. She was played by Madlyn Rhue.
