The Klingon high priest of the monastery on Boreth who arranged the creation of a clone of Kahless.
Koroth is the leader of the clerics who keep watch on Boreth for the promised return of Kahless. Troubled by the spiritual decline of the Klingon Empire, he and his fellow priests created a clone of Kahless from preserved genetic material and gave him the memories of the ancient teachings.
In Rightful Heir, Koroth presents the clone as the returned Kahless. When Worf confronts him with the truth, Koroth argues that the prophecy never specified how Kahless would return. Gowron is enraged, but Worf brokers a compromise in which the clone becomes emperor as a spiritual figurehead.
