Khan's loyal second-in-command, who urged caution during the hunt for Kirk and died of injuries in the battle in the Mutara Nebula.
Joachim is one of the Augments who followed Khan Noonien Singh into exile on Ceti Alpha V. He survives the ecological disaster that killed many of their group and serves as Khan's closest aide when they seize the USS Reliant.
He questions Khan's obsession with Kirk, reminding him that they are free and have a ship, but he remains loyal. He is mortally wounded when the Enterprise strikes the Reliant and dies in Khan's arms, deepening Khan's determination for revenge. He was played by Judson Scott.
