An Enterprise-D officer who began a relationship with Data, who wrote a special program to try to be a good partner.
Lieutenant Jenna D'Sora served aboard the Enterprise-D and was a friend of Data. In In Theory, having just ended a relationship, she found herself drawn to Data's kindness and attentiveness, and she kissed him.
Data created a romantic subroutine to try to make the relationship work, drawing on advice from his crewmates and on literature. He followed the conventions of romance closely but could not feel what she felt, and Jenna ended the relationship.
