The prefect of Argelius II whose wife, an empath, is murdered during a ceremony to identify the killer in Wolf in the Fold.
Jaris is the prefect of Argelius II, a hedonistic, peaceful world that relies on offworld administrators for its security. In Wolf in the Fold he hosts the investigation into the murders of which Scott is accused.
Jaris's wife Sybo, a sensitive empath, holds a ceremony to read the killer's identity and is stabbed to death in the dark. Her death deepens the suspicion on Scott before Kirk uncovers the entity Redjac. Jaris was played by Charles Macaulay.
