Ezri Dax's brother, who secretly made a deal with the Orion Syndicate to save the family mining company.
Janel Tigan is one of Ezri Dax's brothers and the son of Yanas Tigan in Prodigal Daughter. He helps run the family mining business and resents how rarely Ezri comes home.
When the company faced a financial crisis, Janel accepted help from the Orion Syndicate and repaid the debt by putting Morica Bilby on the payroll. He admits the deal when Ezri confronts the family but denies killing Morica, and their mother is furious at his corrupt bargain.
