A loud, combative writer at Incredible Tales and a fierce defender of Benny Russell's work in Sisko's 1950s vision.
Herbert Rossoff is one of the writers at Incredible Tales in Far Beyond the Stars, the 1953 vision experienced by Benjamin Sisko. He is played by Armin Shimerman, mirroring Quark, and he is quick tempered, opinionated and openly scornful of the magazine's management.
Rossoff argues with his colleagues but champions Benny Russell's story, and he is outraged at the treatment Benny receives when the magazine refuses to publish a black hero.
