The Russian woman who raised Worf alongside her husband Sergey, and who later helped care for his son Alexander.
Helena Rozhenko is the adoptive mother of Worf. Together with her husband Sergey she raised the young Klingon on Earth after he was orphaned at Khitomer, working hard to understand his culture and even learning to prepare Klingon food for him.
She first appears in Family, visiting the Enterprise at Earth with Sergey and reassuring Worf that his family stands with him after his discommendation. When Worf sent his son Alexander to live with his parents following the death of K'Ehleyr, Helena took on the task of raising him. In New Ground she brings the boy aboard the Enterprise, explaining that she and Sergey are too old to raise him.
