The Karemma representative whose secret trade talks with the Federation are interrupted by a Jem'Hadar attack in the Gamma Quadrant.
Hanok represents the Karemma, a Dominion member people, in clandestine trade negotiations with the Federation in Starship Down. Quark mediates the talks aboard the Defiant, and Hanok is disgusted to discover that the Ferengi has been padding his own profits by inventing Federation tariffs.
When Jem'Hadar ships attack and the crippled Defiant is trapped in a gas giant's atmosphere, Hanok and Quark are stuck together in the mess hall with an unexploded torpedo lodged in the hull. Defusing it together earns Quark his grudging respect, and Hanok ends the episode gambling happily at Quark's bar.
