Cardassian gul who brought warships to Deep Space Nine in the series pilot after Gul Dukat's vessel vanished into the newly discovered wormhole.
Gul Jasad is a Cardassian officer who appears in Emissary, Part II. When Gul Dukat's warship follows Sisko into the Bajoran wormhole and disappears from sensors, Jasad arrives at the station with a small fleet, convinced that the Federation has destroyed Dukat's ship or is hiding something of value.
With Sisko still lost inside the wormhole, Major Kira faces Jasad from Ops with a station that has almost no working weapons. She bluffs for time while the crew rigs the station's defenses, and the standoff turns into an exchange of fire that ends only when Sisko returns from the wormhole towing Dukat's damaged ship. Joel Swetow played the role.
