The combative Tellarite ambassador who clashes with Sarek over Coridan and is murdered aboard the Enterprise in Journey to Babel.
Gav is the ambassador of Tellar travelling on the Enterprise to the Babel conference in Journey to Babel. Argumentative even by Tellarite standards, he opposes the admission of Coridan to the Federation and openly quarrels with the Vulcan ambassador Sarek.
Gav is found dead with his neck broken by a Vulcan execution technique, making Sarek the leading suspect. The murder turns out to be the work of Thelev, an Orion agent disguised as an Andorian who wanted to provoke conflict among the delegates. Gav was played by John Wheeler.
