A Ktarian woman who seduced Riker on Risa and gave him the addictive game used in a plot to take control of the Enterprise.
Etana Jol is a Ktarian whom Riker meets while on leave on Risa. She gives him a small headset game that stimulates the pleasure centers of the brain while subtly making the player more open to suggestion.
In The Game, Riker brings the device aboard the Enterprise and it spreads rapidly through the crew as part of a Ktarian scheme to seize the ship and eventually reach the Federation. Wesley Crusher and Robin Lefler uncover the plot, and Data neutralizes the game's effects. Etana's ship arrives to meet the Enterprise and is captured.
