The pregnant wife of the murdered leader of Capella IV, who flees with Kirk's party and names her son after Kirk and McCoy.
Eleen is the wife of Akaar, the Teer of the Ten Tribes on Capella IV. In Friday's Child, Akaar is killed in a coup by Maab, and by Capellan custom Eleen must die too, because she carries the heir. Kirk intervenes, and Kirk, Spock and McCoy flee with her into the hills.
Eleen is proud and difficult, and rejects McCoy's medical help until he wins her trust during the birth. After Maab's death, her son becomes Teer, with Eleen as regent, and she names him Leonard James Akaar. She was played by Julie Newmar.
