Benny Russell's girlfriend in Sisko's 1950s vision, who doubts his writing career but stays loyal to him.
Cassie is the girlfriend of the writer Benny Russell in Far Beyond the Stars, the vision of 1953 New York that Benjamin Sisko experiences. She is played by Penny Johnson, mirroring Kasidy Yates.
Cassie worries that Benny cannot earn a living as a writer and wants him to settle down, and she turns aside the flirting of the baseball star Willie Hawkins. She is with Benny on the night they celebrate the acceptance of his story, just before Jimmy is killed.
