The young son of the Talaxian settler Dexa, who grew attached to Neelix and became part of his new family.
Brax is the son of Dexa, a widowed Talaxian living on the asteroid colony found in Homestead. He takes to Neelix after Neelix, Tom Paris and Tuvok are rescued by the colonists following the Delta Flyer's crash, and Neelix becomes a father figure to the boy as he grows closer to Dexa.
Brax is one of the reasons Neelix finds it hard to leave once the miners are driven back, and Neelix ultimately decides to stay with Dexa, Brax and the other Talaxians, departing Voyager as the Federation's ambassador to the Delta Quadrant.
