Ba'el is the daughter of Tokath and the Klingon Gi'ral, raised in the secret Romulan compound where Klingons captured at Khitomer live. She has never known any life outside the compound.
In Birthright, Part II, Ba'el and Worf grow close, but he is horrified to learn that she is part Romulan and lashes out at her. He later apologizes, though his prejudice is not easily set aside. When Worf faces execution, Ba'el is among the young people who stand beside him, a moment that changes the camp's future.
