Alien who lured Voyager with the promise of a fast way home, seeking revenge for the crew's alliance with the Borg.
Arturis was a gifted linguist from a species the Borg had designated Species 116. In Hope and Fear he helped Janeway decode a message from Starfleet and led the crew to the USS Dauntless, apparently a Starfleet ship equipped with quantum slipstream drive that could reach Earth in months.
The ship was a trap. Arturis blamed Voyager for its alliance with the Borg against Species 8472, which had allowed the Borg to assimilate his people, and he planned to deliver the crew to the Collective. Janeway and Seven escaped, and Arturis was carried into Borg space aboard the Dauntless. He was played by Ray Wise.
