The young son of Sojef, who formed an unlikely friendship with Data on the Ba'ku planet.
Artim is a Ba'ku child, the son of Sojef. Like other Ba'ku he is growing up in a pastoral village that has rejected advanced technology.
In Star Trek: Insurrection, Artim befriends Data after the android is repaired, teaching him about play and childhood while Data shares his perspective on the world. Artim gives Data an insight into what it means to be a child, and Data comes to appreciate childhood. The pair remain close as the Enterprise crew protects the Ba'ku from removal.
