An Enterprise crew member whose wedding is interrupted by the Romulan attack in Balance of Terror and whose fiancé dies in the battle.
Angela Martine is a phaser technician aboard the Enterprise. Balance of Terror opens with Kirk preparing to marry her to fellow crewman Robert Tomlinson in the ship's chapel, but the ceremony is halted when the outposts along the Neutral Zone report a Romulan attack.
Both Angela and Tomlinson serve at their phaser stations during the long battle that follows. Tomlinson is killed in the phaser room, and the episode ends with Kirk comforting Angela in the chapel where her wedding should have taken place. She was played by Barbara Baldavin.
