A humanoid species introduced in the 32nd century through Starfleet Academy cadet Genesis Lythe.
The Dar-Sha are humanoids marked by ridges along the nose and above the eyes. They made their first appearance in Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, which presented them as a species never before seen in the franchise, and little about their homeworld or wider culture has been revealed on screen.
The only Dar-Sha featured so far is Genesis Lythe, a cadet at the reopened Starfleet Academy and the daughter of an admiral. Driven by family expectations, she is determined to prove herself worthy of a captaincy one day, and her story is the main window onto her people.
