A Miranda-class supply ship whose crew died of rapid aging in 2365 and which the Enterprise-D destroyed to contain the contagion.
The USS Lantree was a Miranda-class supply ship serving in 2365. After a routine stop at the Darwin Genetic Research Station, its entire crew died of what appeared to be extremely rapid aging.
The Enterprise-D traced the cause to genetically engineered children at Darwin, whose aggressive immune systems attacked the people around them. With its crew dead, the Lantree was destroyed by the Enterprise so that no one else would be exposed. Katherine Pulaski also fell ill during the investigation before the transporter restored her using an earlier sample of her own DNA.
