Designation of the larger 24th-century Klingon Birds-of-Prey, among them the IKS Koraga lost in the Dominion War.
The K'Vort-class was a designation for the larger Klingon Birds-of-Prey of the 24th century. The ships shared the familiar Bird-of-Prey layout, a forward command section on a slender neck and broad wings carrying disruptor cannons, and like the rest of the Klingon fleet they carried cloaking devices.
During the Dominion War, the IKS Koraga was identified as a K'Vort-class ship. Worf was in command of the Koraga when it was destroyed by a Dominion attack in 2375, and in Penumbra Ezri Dax took a runabout into the Badlands to search for him.
