Klingon battle cruiser class of the late 23rd century, an upgraded successor to the D7 that remained in service for a century.

The K't'inga-class was a refined development of the D7-class battle cruiser. It kept the familiar Klingon layout of a bulbous forward command section on a long boom, joined to a broad engineering hull with swept wings carrying the warp nacelles, but its hull carried far more surface detail and it mounted forward torpedo launchers and disruptors.
The class made its debut in Star Trek: The Motion Picture, when three K't'inga cruisers, the Amar among them, were destroyed by V'Ger. Ships of the type were in service around the time of the Khitomer peace, and Chancellor Gorkon's flagship Kronos One was a variant of the design.
The design proved remarkably durable. A K't'inga-class sleeper ship, the T'Ong, menaced the Enterprise-D in The Emissary, and the class still served in Klingon fleets during the 2370s, appearing in Deep Space Nine during the Klingon conflicts and the Dominion War.
