The Hegh'ta was a Klingon Bird-of-Prey commanded by Kurn, Worf's younger brother. When the Klingon Civil War began in Redemption, Kurn's ship was among those that sided with Gowron against the House of Duras.
After resigning his Starfleet commission, Worf joined the crew of the Hegh'ta and fought aboard it through the war, serving under his brother's command. The ship saw heavy combat against vessels loyal to Duras before the conflict ended in Gowron's favour, after which Worf returned to Starfleet and the Enterprise.
