Klingon K't'inga-class battle cruiser destroyed by V'Ger near the Klingon border in Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
The Amar was a K't'inga-class battle cruiser of the Klingon fleet in the 2270s. It was one of three cruisers on patrol when the enormous energy cloud surrounding V'Ger crossed Klingon space on its course toward Earth.
The Klingon ships opened fire with photon torpedoes, which had no effect on the cloud. V'Ger answered with bolts of energy that made the cruisers vanish one after another, the Amar among them. The Federation monitoring station Epsilon IX recorded the attack and was itself destroyed by the cloud shortly afterward.
