Breen warships were the main combat vessels of the secretive Breen Confederacy, which entered the Dominion War on the Dominion's side in 2375. They fought alongside Jem'Hadar and Cardassian fleets in the war's final months.
Their most feared weapon was an energy-dampening device that drained the power of other ships. In The Changing Face of Evil, Breen ships struck Starfleet Headquarters on Earth and then used the weapon at Chin'toka, where the allied fleet was crippled and the USS Defiant was destroyed. For a time only Klingon vessels, whose systems could be adjusted to resist the effect, were able to fight back.
