An inhabited asteroid belt that Discovery evacuated before the Dark Matter Anomaly destroyed it.
The Radvek asteroid belt lies in the new path of the Dark Matter Anomaly in The Examples, and Discovery is sent to evacuate its inhabitants. The belt's grateful magistrate organizes his people to be beamed aboard, but refuses to release the prisoners he calls the Examples.
Michael Burnham and Cleveland Booker free the prisoners by offering them asylum on Discovery. One of them, Felix, chooses to remain behind and dies when the anomaly destroys the asteroid belt.
