American actress who played security chief Tasha Yar in the first season of The Next Generation and later Yar's half-Romulan daughter Sela.
Denise Crosby, an American actress born in 1957, played security chief Tasha Yar during the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation. She left the series that season, and Yar was killed in Skin of Evil. Crosby returned in Yesterday's Enterprise, in which an alternate-timeline Yar travels into the past, and later played Sela, Yar's half-Romulan daughter, in Redemption and Unification.
She appeared as Yar once more in the series finale All Good Things.... Her other credits include the film Pet Sematary, and she produced and hosted Trekkies, a documentary about the franchise's fans.
