American visual effects producer and title designer on The Next Generation and its successors, best known for designing the Klingon bat'leth.
Dan Curry, an American visual effects producer and supervisor, worked on Star Trek: The Next Generation and continued on Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise, also designing main title sequences for the franchise. His influence extended to Klingon culture: he designed several Klingon hand-to-hand weapons, including the mek'leth, the Sword of Kahless and, most famously, the bat'leth.
The bat'leth, introduced on The Next Generation, became Worf's signature weapon and one of the most recognizable props in the franchise.
