The son of the Catullan ambassador who travels with Sevrin's band, a family connection that forces Kirk to treat the group carefully.
Tongo Rad is a young Catullan, son of his planet's ambassador to the Federation, and a member of Dr. Sevrin's group in The Way to Eden. His father's position makes the space hippies a diplomatic matter, so Kirk is ordered to handle them with care after they are taken aboard the Enterprise.
Tongo Rad helps with the takeover of the ship and joins the flight to Eden, surviving the planet's dangers. He was played by Victor Brandt.
