Romulan officer assigned to the Defiant to oversee its cloaking device during the first mission to find the Founders.
T'Rul is a Romulan sub-commander who joins the USS Defiant in The Search under the agreement that lends Starfleet a Romulan cloaking device. Her role is to operate and safeguard the device on behalf of the Romulan Star Empire.
She serves aboard during the hunt for the Founders in the Gamma Quadrant. In The Search, Part II, in what turns out to be a Founder simulation, she is shot dead by Jem'Hadar soldiers on Deep Space Nine, prompting Sisko's rebellion. Martha Hackett, who also played Seska on Star Trek: Voyager, played T'Rul.
