Countess Regina Bartholomew is a character from the Sherlock Holmes holodeck programs. When Professor Moriarty awakens from storage, he endows her with self-awareness so that she can be his companion.
In Ship in a Bottle, Moriarty demands that both he and Regina be allowed to leave the holodeck. Picard creates a simulation within the simulation, letting the couple believe they have escaped into the real universe. Regina and Moriarty sail off together in a memory module where their experiences will continue. She was played by Stephanie Beacham.
